The Brief: The client wanted us to design a label for his brandy as the existing label looked inferior. The label needed to be reasonable priced, as it was a relatively cheap brandy, but he wanted to give a premium look to his product.
The Challenge: How to design an expensive looking label that is “cheap” to produce.
The Solution: Label-it design team proposed using metallised silver polypropylene to give a foiled effect as most premium liquor products have foil as a design element. This proved to be substantially cheaper than foiling. The neck label added a further impression of quality. Working closely with the client the design was finalised in a manner that would appeal to his market segment.
The job was printed flexographically in 5 colours with gloss varnish and die cutting in line.
